E-cigarettes have intriguing flavours like pina colada and are a popular trend right now. But how harmful are they from a dental standpoint?

The devices are battery powered and heat liquids laced with nicotine which contacts the mouth at its hottest. This may result in dry mouth, dry cough, mouth ulcerations or even chemical burns.

And then there’s the addictive nature of the nicotine, a vasoconstrictor which raises blood pressure.

Is it really worth a try?
